Re: Z-wave bereik ervaringen / oplossingen

Re: ACT Homepro dimmers and LED lights

The fittings should be the same, but I have seen some Gu10 LEDs that are a bit longer than the standard halogen ones.

Also, it would seem the new fibaro dimmers withthe bypass element should work with any type of dimmable LEDs - anyone had a go with these yet?

Re: Zwave Enabled electrict roofwindows

Are you planning on using them in something like Homeseer or Vera? I'm curious what they show up as and if they are properly controllable (considering it has a rain sensor n such)

Re: DUCO

After some correspondence with Duco, it turns out that z-wave is used for communication between the sensors and the control unit. The ventilation unit and the control unit are still wired using "0-10 volt PWM sturing" (doesn't mean much to me).

Re: DUCO

Has anyone integrated one of these yet? I need a new ventilation unit and it would be great if I could control the thing myself.

Re: ACT Homepro dimmers and LED lights

Well the specs say "Dimbaar met gangbare dimmers." - they are 220v spots, so I assume it will work with any dimmer. They do mention you have to take care with the dimmers minimum load though (which is what I am worried about) Though I do have a semi busted act dimmer - so I might just try ...

ACT Homepro dimmers and LED lights

Hi, I currently have my z-wave dimmers controlling groups of GU10 halogen spots (easily obtaining the minimum required wattage of 20 watts for each dimmer switch), with the plan of ultimately changing them for LED spots. Has anyone done this succesfully? I was looking at LED spots like these ledgloe...

Re: Everspring doorsensor configuring OFF delay

I have a few Aeon Labs door/window sensors, but they sometimes give me false readings - i.e. it won't register a close or open properly, so the device stays open in HS, while it isn't open, until I open/close the actual door again. I certainly wouldn't drive any sirens or alarms with them. Cheers, E...

Re: Siren and Smoke Detector (flex-control)

I have the same siren you have (the only z-wave siren that is avaiable in europe afaik) When I set it up I just added the device using the Aeon stick, then I closed the thing up, tried optimising, found out that the listening period was short so I had to open it up again t opress the button so it wo...

Re: Siren and Smoke Detector (flex-control)

Hi, Personally I disabled the tamper alarm because I almost lost my hearing ;) No issues with the siren besides that - You could try and disable it as well (one of the jumper settings I believe) just on the of chance that this does the job. Also for the smoke alarm - it looks like you haven't scanne...

Re: modifying window/door sensor for doorbell

Ah really? I tested the door sensor and it seems very quick to update, even on relatively short triggers.
I suppose I'l have an engineer friend think about this one for me.

Are there any schematics or examples on how to achieve this out there?

modifying window/door sensor for doorbell

as above - would it be possible to modify a magnetic window/door sensor like the aeon labs Z-wave device to report doorbell activity somehow?

Cheers,
Elco
