Visonic Powermax X10

Post by Bwired »

Hi All,
Who has some experience with the Visonic Powermax security panel.
I would like to control/monitor the device with my computer. I now have a X10 Powerline interface connected to it. But the only thing which is working good right now is when I turn on the alarm an X10 signal is send "alarm on". If I turn the alarm off "Alarm off" is send.
I can also get X10 Command of the the wireless motion detectors etc. but X10 readings don't make much sense.
If there is more experience out there regarding the Visonic Powermax, please let me know.

Does the W800RF see those signals, or is it proprietary?

No the sensors attached to the Visonic Powermax have there own protocol and frequency. On the Unit however you can attach a X10 powerline interface which can set some signals on the powerline. Only the program in the Powermax to program the X10 Settings is very poor in functionality.
