Hi,
After 2 days I found out that my RFXMETER wasn't working (resetting the power aparently solved the problem).
The RFXCOM DB lists the same values since it started to fail for: power, gas and water
After changing the "comm failure timeout" of the Gas device in HomeSeer (from 170 minutes to 60 minutes), the device suddenly showed "Communication Failure".
Question: Is there a reason why I shouldn't set the "comm failure timeout" from 170 min (default) to, say 60 minutes? The "Communication Failure" allows me identify the problem sooner.
Question: If it says "Communication Failure", will the plugin still write values to the DB?
Thank you!
DJ

Re: "Comm failure timeout" - which value to use?
Default can be used and should show the comm failure too.
The comm failure timeout for the RFXMeter can be set to (2 x reporting interval ) + 1 minute
The best value for the reporting interval of the RFXMeter is 1 or 6 minutes. (30 seconds is producing too much RF traffic)
