Battery value's rfxsensor
Snelvuur, with Bert's advise some time ago I connected the RFXSensor battery to the A/D input in the RFXSensor (Mine is Type 3) and I now get the battery actual voltage to 2 decimal places into HomeSeer - so I can manually or automatically identify a dying battery. Not sure with your humidity sensor...

earthleak problems
Vlonder? Not sure - is this over a swimming pool (in which case "diving board") or a garden pond / stream (just "wooden bridge" by the sound of it in this case) Sorry I don't have any Dutch to base this on.....

earthleak problems
Hi, have you had a lot of rain lately - maybe some "water-leakage" triggering your "earth-leakage"? I recently tried a new earth-leakage cut-out which was just too sensitive to have the whole house on - and things like the dish-washer tripped it. I understand that the earth leaka...

RFXCOM receiver for Electrisave / cent-a-meter
I suspected and hoped you would include this Bert - thanks - I now cannot resist any more buying one of your receivers! Going there now to order! Of course I may then end up getting a RFXPower, but this will do for now.

50 ways to ... monitor your PC hardware
Digit, I assume you have come across this - http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php
Speedfan works well with a script on the HomeSeer forum - but I see you want non-Windows as well - maybe some hints if you follow the Speedfan links

Newbie: IR commands from Homeseer
Just order online from http://www.usbuirt.com/order.htm - not sure what the problem is - they have a special EU order item on the above page.
By the way make sure you can return the PowerMids if they don't have enough range - they didn't for my house

Newbie: IR commands from Homeseer

USB-UIRT to learn, watch for and send IR commeands from HomeSeer. - see http://www.usbuirt.com/ - worth looking on the HomeSeer forum re this too. The IR Commander and its add-ons to distribute sent IR commands around the house - see http:/...

Out of interest, what did you use to code / build your dashboard - that looks neat.

Measuring water temperature
Hi Digit, the deviation varied a lot - partly due to the surrounding air temperature in the pump house which is in full sun and partly due to the fact that the water isn't actively flowing through the pipework all the time - only approx 50% of the time when the pump is on - so static water gets to a...

Measuring water temperature
Bjorn, my experience of this when trying to measure a swimming pool temperature was that strapping the sensor on the pipe in the filter/pump box with surrounding insulation wasn't satisfactory - not helped I assume by plastic piping. I had to put the sensor actually in the pool water itself - encase...

Which Webcam Program
Hi I use ActiveWebcam from www.pysoft.com - supports a lot of different cameras and has own webserver capability built-in - been working fine for a couple of years. It also does motion detection recording and all the normal things you would expect. I actually use wireless IP cameras similar to these...

Low-power PC
The other thing to consider - which you may have already done of course is avoiding having the 3 PCs actually fully powered all the time 24/7. For example, can you put one or more to "sleep" in Hibernate or Standby mode for some of the time. I have found the free Sleeper program at www.pas...
