Re: Z-wave on Ubuntu 11.10 in VM on MacMiniServer
Even after removing them first without using domotiga? What I did(before domotiga had parameter support etc) was using and LMCE-image on vmware to set parameters and it's possible as well to make a network etc. Or use the much simpler OZW-controlpanel, however you need to compile stuff for that as w...

And a reset inbetween of the AN158.
Distance might be anything up to 30m depending on disturbances, here 8m is sometimes problematic, nodes inbetween help.
2m should not be a problem.

Re: Z-wave on Ubuntu 11.10 in VM on MacMiniServer
When I manualy change this xml text. Will that have any influence on the behaviour of the Z-wave actions? Don't know, never had to look at it. It seems however to be recreated at start of using the OZW-wrapper if I look at creation date. Now this is maybe what courses the problem?: Node005, ERROR: ...

Re: Z-wave on Ubuntu 11.10 in VM on MacMiniServer
1. I now finally have the AN158 included as a device (by taking out the stick and include it in the stick, than after inserting it again. And restarting things several times (also the VM) as you suggested). Its now in the commander visible as node 5. Now tried to click it on or off in the commander...

Re: Z-wave on Ubuntu 11.10 in VM on MacMiniServer
Don't have chiptype and version via open-zwave wrapper either, do have devices though.
Did the S2 indicate it added the device? Also the commander needs to be restarted sometimes to reflect the latest changes(other software via open-zwave seem to have the same problem as well).

Re: Z-wave on Ubuntu 11.10 in VM on MacMiniServer
Easiest is probably to use the S2 to add the AN158 to the network, after plugging it in again and starting domotige(of re-enable z-wave) you should see it in the commander. Then you know which node-id to use for adding it as a device in domotiga itself.

Did you follow these instructions as well?
And if you encounter and error about:
Manager::Get()->SetPollInterval( polltime);
follow this:
http://domotiga.nl/issues/95#note-25
It's a bit work to setup, but when it works, it's really nice

Re: Domotiga failed to start during module error
Did you checkout domotiga completely?
It crashes because it cannot find the directory sounds in the domotiga base directory.
Otherwise you need to go into the database >> settings_sound >> enabled needs to be changed to 0

Re: Plugwise / Z-Wave / Other power measurement
Let me put another perspective on it. I have several devices connected which should default to off, e.g. mediacenter and gameconsole. After return of power these devices start up running full power, but not being used.
For these devices a default-off would be better.

Re: DomotiGa, Aeon Labs Z-stick and Everspring AN158
Looking in the manual suggests it's not possible to configure that.
I have the same combination and pressing the button on the devices updates the status in domotiga directly, this seems to be the default configuration in de module.

Re: zwave dongle
My aeon labs stick arrive in a little box with foam insert which contained the stick in bubble wrap.
No software or instructions, seems standard to me aside from a bent connector.
