Re: [PIC16F88] Pin2=0V instead of 4.3V after many years of no issues

Ok, my mistake. I did interpret the LSB on the left side without reading the docs carefully. The Broetje WGB 2 docs are using LSB on the right side as well :- (. And yes, the "Include details of bit fields" check mark helps. The question is still: why does the boiler report Master pump con...

Re: [PIC16F88] Pin2=0V instead of 4.3V after many years of no issues

>> As expected, Central heating enable is always checked > Central heating enable always being checked is not what I expect. This may be done for boilers that do their own low-off and pump control function. But in the equipment matrix I see for your model boiler that ID3:HB4 = 0, meaning that it all...

Re: [PIC16F88] Pin2=0V instead of 4.3V after many years of no issues

Hi Schelte, it took me a while until I could explore your proposal yesterday: I made sure, I'm using the latest otmonitor-6.5 (armhf) from your download site Upgrading from 4.3 to 5.8 (also latest from your download site) did work well By intention, I did not select " Transfer old EEPROM settin...

[PIC16F88] Pin2=0V instead of 4.3V after many years of no issues

Dear Schelte, I'm using OTGW since many years (2016) without issues. Board: Opentherm Gateway Rev B, (c) 2012 - Schelte Bron IC2: No Max232, direct serial -> USB converter in a USB-A plug Pins 11-14 and 12-13 connected I don't have any LEDs connected. Still using OpenTherm Gateway 4.3 on the PIC16F8...

Re: [Web Server] Cannot issue Free format commands

Happy New Year, Schelte, I just realized, my patch from 2017 did not make it into the official sources. Was there anything wrong with the patch --or suboptimal? Background: My otgw ran now 3-years without problems with the otmonitor operating on a raspberry. The last days it crashed with a corrupted...

Re: Added Brötje EcoTherm Plus WGB 2 to the equipment matrix

Hi Wilhelm, are you referring to the thermostat setpoint? Yes, that works in the same style as if I turn the nob on the QAA73. I'm regularily using the iPhone Interface of the otmonitor webserver for this. It would be nice to sync-up on the heating control behavior once you have the OTGW up-and-runn...

Re: Long Term Visualization of Heating Behavior?

Hi Schelte, Good to hear it works for you --so something must be different on my side. I did some more experiments: I realized: the behavior for gui and daemon mode is the same: - after entering interval, data fields, and filename for the first time using the gui, all works as expected - if restarti...

Re: Long Term Visualization of Heating Behavior?

If you have OTmonitor running, you can configure the datalog to save a record of the items you are interested in at regular intervals. Then the only task left is to make a graph out of that. Hi Schelte, I gave it a try: the resulting .csv file is an excellent starting point for visualization: the l...

Re: Long Term Visualization of Heating Behavior?

Hmm.. forgot to mention: The c-code is specific for Linux (Darwin on MacOSX may work as well). Need to weed out the m-scripts before sending them anywhere. Typical quick and dirty works-for-me code. Do you still want it? Sorry for the late response, I'm on a biz trip: Linux is absolutely fine, so t...

Re: Long Term Visualization of Heating Behavior?

Hi,

yes, this is exactly what I'm looking for.

Is it possible to share the parser and the matlab scripts?

Thanks,
Thomas

Long Term Visualization of Heating Behavior?

Hi, Now, as OTGW for my Brötje WGB 2 is operating stable, I can start to analyze the collected data with the goal to optimize the parameterization of the heating system. What's the best way to visualize the behavior for e.g. a week or even a month? The otmonitor-Graph is about 2h only. Are there too...

Added Brötje EcoTherm Plus WGB 2 to the equipment matrix

Hi,

I've added my Brötje EcoTherm Plus WGB 2 to the list of boilers in the equipment matrix.
The boiler management unit (BMU) is a LMU6x from Siemens, the thermostat a Siemens QAA73 which has been listed in the list of thermostats already.
The OTGW works nicely with both.

Best,
Thomas

Re: [Web Server] Cannot issue Free format commands

Hi hvxl,

Good catch!
Adding the the dash to the bracket expression of all occurrences of document.URL.match() solved the issue.

I've attached a simple patch.

Thanks,
Thomas

Re: [Web Server] Cannot issue Free format commands

Hi again, I tried to use Chrome's Developer Tools to do a trace. Below are the error messages when navigating to Configure->Miscellaneous->Gateway. Re: [Web Server] Cannot issue Free format commands

Ahh, yes, I read about browser incompatibilites but forgot to mention, I'm usually using Firefox or Chrome but not IE. Just double checked: - Firefox 50.1.0 under OSX El Capitan: no reaction for any command which writes to the server e.g. also switching between Monitor and Gateway mode - Chrome 54.0...
