Re: OTGW and Intergas - no return temp reported

Well that's not quite true though, is it?

Because S2 (effectively the return temp) IS reported in their own InTouch system. So it's not just some 'internal use only' parameter.

I'd actually class the fact that it isn't reported in OT as a bug.

Re: OTGW and Intergas - no return temp reported

What model of boiler do you have? In my app it does not show the return temperature. Eco RF 36. That's a UK model number, which I think is slightly different from the rest of the EU. The 'customer' version of InTouch doesn't show the return temp, but the service app does. You need to go to the Real...

WimN wrote:According to Intergas the HRE30/36a boiler has no return water temperature sensor. They have a sensor 'S2' inside the heat exchanger, so that is not the same.
And yet their own InComfort thing is able to show the return temp!

OTGW and Intergas - no return temp reported

I'm using @Cyril's excellent little Orange Pi Zero OTGW board, and an Intergas Eco RF combi boiler (I believe it's sold with a slightly different model name in other markets). All is working very well EXCEPT for the fact that the boiler isn't reporting heating return temperature via Opentherm (it's ...

Re: OTGW and Orange Pi Zero one device.

I shouldn't have used port 8080. There's a remote access port listed in the OTGW config screens.

I've now disabled it though because I read some posts about Domoticz killing OTGW by bombarding it with requests. I don't want that to happen here.

Re: OTGW and Orange Pi Zero one device.

I could have SWORN I previously had Cyril's board talking to Domoticz, but now I'm getting errors: 2018-10-08 15:22:42.002 Status: OTGW: HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error 2018-10-08 15:22:42.002 Status: OTGW: Content-Type: text/plain;charset=utf-8 2018-10-08 15:22:42.002 Status: OTGW: Content-Lengt...

Re: OTGW and Orange Pi Zero one device.

Given that Opentherm is a two way protocol does it actually matter which side is connected to the boiler and which to the thermostat?

Not that it's a problem doing it correctly, I'm just curious!

Re: OTGW and Orange Pi Zero one device.

About 30 degrees (in a cold room) when doing nothing, rising to 45 with some gentle tasks and 70-80 if you start to really push it. At that point I think the CPU throttles back a bit.

That's without a heatsink.

Re: OTGW and Orange Pi Zero one device.

Still waiting (not a problem - it's just international post).

But I just wanted to know whether to buy a heatsink for the Orange Pi Zero? Perhaps it isn't needed? Perhaps there's no room?

The board (OP0) does seem to get quite toasty.

Re: OTGW and Orange Pi Zero one device.

Hi Cyril,

I've just ordered one of your boards on eBay, but it hasn't arrived yet.

Have you had any problems with the Orange Pi Zero running hot? Is there room for a heatsink when using your board?

Thanks,

Paul.
