Re: Hardware: Toon metering module, "meteradapter"

Yes, that works. It's just that I didn't yet figure out how to actually use it ;) The page is empty with regards to values when I've started it. I found an device ID database that says quby is 0001. When I enter it, and initialize, I get errors and some emtpy value's as shown in the attached screens...

Re: Hardware: Toon metering module, "meteradapter"

You could try and install ozwcp and its deps (from the forum's ftp server). That doesn't really help in solving broken hardware, but at least you will have a very detailed logging of what's going on in the zwave controller. Looks great, after having the dependencies installed, firewall open for 809...

Re: Hardware: Toon metering module, "meteradapter"

I pulled it out again to see if something was not right, at first glance it doesn't seem to be broken on the board. When I connect the cable, it clicks and stays in place while being able to rotate. The picture doesn't show properly in this size so this is what it looks like I reinstalled the firmwa...

Re: Hardware: Toon metering module, "meteradapter"

Is there any way to somehow find out the zwave signal strenght, of if any signals are seen at all, on the toon itself ? I don't have any other tools to measure it and since Toon doesn't want to see my meteradapter anymore. It has been disconnected and disassembled for about 2-3 months but since I go...

Re: Toon firmware - update script

/etc/passwd and /etc/group are files and should NEVER be links to busybox you need to find out why it want to link it anyways After some trial and error sessions in the last months when I had time, I figured out that this issue is resolved by opkg remove busybox.passwd and running the updatescript ...

Re: Toon Recovery

The reason for me to check ToonRecovery was because I was unable to succesfully upgrade toon's firmware. This kept failing with a message that busybox.password could not symlink to /etc/passwd because it existed. I wasn't able to get the nfs mount working, also not when trying it manually even thoug...

Re: Toon Recovery

Been a little while that I had time to work on it again, but yes; it is there : root@raspberrypi:/var/log# ls /srv/nfs/toon/boot/ -lah total 4.7M drwxrwxr-x 2 root root 4.0K Jan 25 2019 . drwxr-xr-x 16 root root 4.0K Jun 16 17:48 .. -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 2.3M Jul 5 2015 uImage-2.6.36-R07-h11 -rw-r-...

Re: Toon Recovery

I've used the latest version from github, it looks like the nfs mount works but it keeps stopping with an error. Error loading from NFS server I'm not sure how to get any further debug output or log file besides daemon log or syslog output. When I use an external nfs share : https://i.imgur.com/zYt1...

Re: Toon Recovery

I did a reinstall of raspbian stretch and followed the rpi3 instructions and readme but it doesn't seem to coorporate or I just don't get it. When I look at the versions file, that doesn't seem to change no matter what I edit in nfs-kernel-server or the exports file. In it, all versions are listed w...

Re: Toon Recovery

The script looks good and very useful for sure. I'm just not getting it any further to boot from nfs for some reason. I'm using a rpi3, tried nfs with only v2, v2&v3, all versions, but the script won't bite despite me being able to mount the same path manually. After "Loading kernel into me...

Thanks, I'll check it somewhere soon.
I was already planning to do it somewhere in the next few weeks if I find some time for it.

Re: Toon firmware - update script

/etc/passwd and /etc/group are files and should NEVER be links to busybox you need to find out why it want to link it anyways That's what I thought as well, but hey, I'm not a toon expert so for all I know it would be something. I did manage somehow to get my apps back up, toonstore working again t...

Re: Toon firmware - update script

I've been trying to update my toon a couple of times the last few weeks but until now it just doesn't finish correct. I think I was updating from 5.0.4 when I did the first update since somehwere in May I think, the firmware says it runs on 5.5.7. But nothing of the store or custom apps work, the up...

Re: Rooting Toon (or boxx)

When I plug in a cable, wlan0 disappears and I can ping or connect outside. When only on wlan I can ping local resources but nothing goes outside. I'll check my local network later today and see if it is something I misconfigured somewhere even though I haven't changed anything in the last weeks. ht...
