Re: MQTT topic chwaterdeltat is zero or incorrect

Schelte, thank you for your response and emphasising this point. Otmonitor is working as specified. That was my implicit conclusion in my previous post. Now it is also clear to me that my boiler is working as expected. I think the observed behaviour in my first post can be explained by the assumptio...

Re: MQTT topic chwaterdeltat is zero or incorrect

Apparently my boiler stops sending the return temp. When I request it with PM=28, I can see the updated value , that is also updated in otmonitor. The confusing part is that the (obsolete) return temp does show up in return message after issuing PS=1. And also in retained MQTT messages. could otmonit...

Re: Directly control water temperature

My bad. Apparently after issuing the subscribe command, I first get a bunch of retained events, that I have mistakenly taken for actual values. When I was just converting the timestamps in the MQTT messages to lookup the logs, I noticed the off-set in time. After issuing PM=18 in otmonitor, the wate...

Re: Directly control water temperature

Thank you for the quick response. And yes, I am aware that OTGW stops sending regular updates after PS=1. But it is indeed something that might be confusing. However, I still notice the Status window of Otmonitor does not pick up every change, however otmonitor published it correctly on MQTT. Right ...

MQTT topic chwaterdeltat is zero or incorrect

My expectation and from the source code I think the intended functionality is that: chwaterdeltat = boiltemp - return temp However the MQTT messages (all with similar time stamps) do not support this assumption. Since I have some other issues with data that is seemingly out of sync, I hope this may ...

Re: Understanding Max CH water Setpoint (ID=57) control

I have the same idea, and similar issues. So far the best I came up with is tempering the MM to a very low setting. Since I normally heat a small part of the house, the boiler is very much overpowered. It is also a safe solution since the thermostat is still pretty much in control. Because I am anno...

Re: Directly control water temperature

Weird. I just noticed that I see the change in OT temp in the output messages after sending PS=1, but not in the (refreshed) status window. OT monitor is neither publishing updates on the OT on MQTT. As maybe Otmonitor is of its proper tracks, rebooted I have the machine running otmonitor. And teste...

Re: Directly control water temperature

I see the number of subscriptions going up and down when enabling/disabling MQTT in OTmonitor. So it subscribes correctly to my Mosquito server. Thanks for the command to check this.
But still stuck...

Re: Directly control water temperature

I can also cofirm that I can manually set the outside temp with OT=10; although not first time right (boiler returned OT=0 and unknown data id); Boiler is a Nefit Proline Nxt.

Re: Directly control water temperature

Dear Schelte, thanks for the quick response. The effect of this command (after localizing it) is the same (none). It executes without errors. I know my connection works, as I can succesfully subscribe to otmonitor topics and I have a working dashboard in Node Red. Can I check whether Otmonitor has s...

Re: Directly control water temperature

Hi, This is my first post on this forum, but so far it has been useful reading about all kind of advices and projects. But I am completely stuck on publishing MQTT actions for otmonitor that actually have an effect on Otmonitor settings. This is what I have done: I have a working system including No...
