New features for cheap devices
Hi, One of my most important problem with HA is the reliability of the communication with all the devices. I would like some watchdog feature in domotiga in order to overcome the lack of bidirectionnal communication and state resend with cheap X10 devices. Let me illustrate my thought For example, i...

Domotiga client for android
Hi,
Anybody is thinking to develop a domotiga client/gui for android phones?
Could be nice no? something more flexible than just a web client.

Re: Unable to Calibrate vith decimal numbers
Hi, I my case domotiga used to work great with cm119 but since 1 or 2 release the reported value in domotiga doesn't match the display of the device.... so I am still using the RFCXCOMRX class code for the cm119.... I think there was a modification to be able to have several cm119 in the same time b...

Last domotiga release 1.195
Hi,
In last domotiga release there is a new thermostat feature. It seems great, i had coded a similar (much simpler) feature but it was too much specific to be shared.
Could we have a short explanation on how this works?
Thanks

Re: RFXCOM TX error
I 'll try to get in touch with the RFXCOM support.... My problem occur more often than yours, each 24h or so. It wasn't the case before. Maybe it's because i've changed my ubuntu from 8.04 to 10.04. I've read that there used to be problems with the ftdi drivers.. But this is not only a software prob...

RFXCOM Transmitter error
Hi, I have a recurring problem with my RFXCOM usb transmitter (TX) under domotiga. From time to time (lets say each 24h) the RFXCOM TX stop transmitting, in the debug log i can see that the device is not acknowledging anymore the transmitted command. It replies 5A. The only solution is to unplug the...

RFXCOM TX error
Hi, I noticed that sometimes my USB RFXCOM TX don't acknowledge anymore any command (it replies with a Nack). The only way to solve the problem is to unplug and replug the usb device. This seems to happen when too many commands are send in a short amount of time (i am using the domotiga software whi...

Re: A new event architecture
It will have the exact same capability as today's cron. The differences are: Today, when different events share the same timecron trigger, the trigger is evaluated once per event (this is also true for other types of triggers) The timecron trigger could be evaluated once and then all the events usin...

Re: A new event architecture
I've been working with the multi trigger thing for a while now everything seems ok (except the timecron trigger which is done multiple time) I've kept on thinking about all this stuff and once again i have some ideas i would like to share before to start coding. In the event menu i introduce the &qu...

I want to use my telescopic antenna on my transmitter how to solder a bnc male conector on the transmitter instead of the yellow wire? the is 2 connection on the bnc the internal wire should be so...

Re: A new event architecture
Don't misunderstand me, by script i meant being able to have complex event. No matter how you achieve this (by directly typing a script, by a script wizard, whatever....) this is the point of a home automation system. If you don't have this feature then you have a home monitoring software.

Re: A new event architecture
I've just sent you the code. It's incredible, i used to have 13 events for one heating point. Now i only have 2. One with the condition leading to On and one with the condition leading to Off. With the coming possibility to put condition inside actions i will have 1 event!!! It's a new beginning for...

Re: A new event architecture
Ok why not... It would just have been more coherent to have this in the action list editor. I mean : keep the conditions the way they are.... the multitrigger (i've almost managed to have the timecron inside the multitrigger, promise i'll send you the code) Add what you described just here in the ac...

Re: A new event architecture
I meant putting a formula editor inside the "To" field of the "set Device" action tab and the "set Globalvar" tab.
This solution can already do many things without changing too much things.
For other type of action, we should think to a similar solution
