Re: domotigaServer on startup

If Domotigaserver starts from the command line, put it in /etc/rc.local (chmod +x to make it executable) I run all kinds of stuff on my Sheevaplug running Debian I have No-ip scripts, rtorrent, ntp servers, camera servers (motion) and get_iplayer running. It works fine :) I might have a go at Domoti...

Re: If you had a new house....

Lol, I've used X10, and have an RFXcom and some Oregon sensors, and 1-wire too. I like to play :) Since Im building a new house, it gives me the chance to start with a new, clean slate. With this topic, I was trying to have some of fun. Something like eg. "If I had a million dollars....." ...

If you had a new house....

Hey guys. I've been busy, with a new job, and moving into a rental house. I will be building a new house early next year. Heres the question.... What do I install for home automation? (i'm in Canada) If you had a new house (anywhere!), what system(s) would you use? Lol. I just thought I'd throw this...

Re: Multiple Actions in Domotiga

@Ron, Ron, I cant get any of the latest svn to run. 0.194 is the last version that runs, but with the switching problems. The latest svn for example draws the main window and then freezes. No logs - nothing. Mmm. I may just backup/wipe the database and try again :) Lol, once I can take a break from ...

Re: Multiple Actions in Domotiga

I blew my machine up! Lol, Domotiga freezes after compilation from svn.
Give me a couple of days to reinstall and get going again :)

Re: Multiple Actions in Domotiga

Hi Ron. Is there a way of altering the delays set in the code? I have a case where clicking a fan control button has no effect. Clicking and holding causes a fan to turn on then off quickly. One light now wont respond at all. If there was a dialog to 'tune' the delay time, perhaps even for each devi...

Re: Restarting DomotiGa automatically

Ron, The code is much more stable now. Last night, it recorded 6+hrs of errors like: 2011/02/02 06:35:41 ERROR: System error. Too many open files at ServerStats.UpdateRRDs.88 2011/02/02 06:36:41 ERROR: System error. Too many open files at ServerStats.UpdateRRDs.88 It didnt update sensors using RRD f...

Re: Multiple Actions in Domotiga

I had another go at this today. I enabled logs, but nothing shows. I can send them if you'd like. The problem occurs when I send multiple requests quickly. e.g. i have an intruder 'horn' which you send the 'on/off' command four or five times to turn on, the same for off. If I then randomly turn on f...

Re: GlobalVars coherence between server and client

Im not sure if this is where this belongs, but here goes. With Version 0.1.194 I noticed that the client doesn't update when connected to the server. even on the same machine. I found that for every receiver, TEMP08, RFXCOM receiver and CurrentCost, even though the USB devices are mapped correctly, ...

Re: Restarting DomotiGa automatically

I thought my system was running fine. No problems really, since the new release 0.1.194 Then, my wife calls me at work to say the house is over 28C.... It looks like RRD doesnt like recording a lot of data... The gui crashed when the heating was on, causing a run away. Im going to turn off RRDTool f...

Re: Restarting DomotiGa automatically

I'll be off work next week. I'll fix up the code and send it to you.
Meanwhile I'll give the new version a shot :)
Thanks,
Andy
