Oregon UV sensor useful for determining dark/light

Thanks, that's very useful. I'll start hunting for (something like) the PEHA sensor, as it seems to be just the ticket.

Oregon UV sensor useful for determining dark/light

I'm currently not happy using dusk/dawn timers or MS13s to determine if it's dark outside. Therefore, I'm wondering if the Oregon Scientific UV sensor could provide useful input for determining if it's light or dark outside. Does anyone here have experience with these units? Thanks in advance, Rick

Heating, which one of the two?

Well.. according to the manual it has the "TELE-ingang" too, so x10 control shouldn't be a problem.

From what I get from quickly skimming the manuals, the units are very similar.

Btw.. it's also interesting to note that the messages from this keyfob are picked up by the RFXCom Visonic receiver, and look somewhat like Visonic messages..

For the people contemplating the same setup, my observations after a few days: - I needed to add a (simple 12V) relay to the Powermax PGM output to interface to the Abus keyfob - The mechanical part of the solution works a lot better than I expected. It automatically figured out how my lock works, a...

Check the heyu faq: http://heyu.tanj.com/heyu_faq.html

In any case, I'm working with the CM11 over serial and this works fine with xpl-perl (which uses heyu), heyu and misterhouse on Linux.

RFXCom not receiving KaKu AWST-8802 RF Switch

Hi Bert, I just received this week, so should be pretty fresh: Version request to receiver => F020 4D18538A Version Master=18 Slave=8A bits=88 (433 X10 master + Visonic 868 slave) There is some note in the manual that this switch can only be received by "A-series" KaKu components, as on mo...
