Anybody familiar with the eSMART domotica system?

Hi, As subject: Is anybody familiar with the eSMART domotica system? https://myesmart.com/en/ My parents bought an apartment, newly constructed by Heijmans. It was described as a luxurious apartment, including a state-of-the-art Domotica system. So I assumed it would be KNX, like they big boys use. ...

Re: Monitoring Remeha devices

No, you do not; The Gateway takes care of operating the boiler, using OpenTherm. You only need two instruct the GateWay to do things for you, protocol documented here:

Re: Monitoring Remeha devices

Do you need a Gateway? I think I still have it laying around, because it was a bit of a pity to toss it out.

Re: Z-Wave: I'm amazed how poorly it works

Aaaaaand the winner is .... [drum roll] .... Calex LED lamps! I haven't forgotten about posting this: domoticaforum.eu/viewtopic.php?f=19& ... 382#p63382 , but I did forget it was about Calex lamps when I bought those nice LED filament lamps. Made in Holland, all certified (http://www.calexholla...

Re: Z-Wave: I'm amazed how poorly it works

Perhaps it's my neurotic personality, but I really hate junk. I'd rather spend a bit more, knowing I buy quality equipment than spending hours to get cheap junk to work properly. Unfortunately, KNX is really hard to retrofit, so I had to go with Z-Wave. My Xanura system was very unreliable, even wit...

Re: Z-Wave: I'm amazed how poorly it works

Update I've got around 20 modules installed now, all around my house, so coverage should be fine. There's a slight improvement, even though it shouldn't because the furthest module is only 15 meters from the controller. However, there are still two modules - at most 6 meters from the controller - p...

Re: Z-Wave: I'm amazed how poorly it works

Thanks for all the advice, guys. I have tried most of the suggestions, but unfortunately to no improvement. It's abundantly clear now that after all these years Z-Wave product are nowhere near consumer product level of usability. You buy the products, install them, and hope that they work. But more ...

Re: Z-Wave: I'm amazed how poorly it works

Thank you for helping out. Before blaming anything please find out what is causing this. In what way? And how? I have a bog-standard installation: One of the most widely used controllers (Aeon Z-Stick, gen. 5), controllers that are claimed to adhere strictly to the Z-wave standard, and Open Source s...

Z-Wave: I'm amazed how poorly it works

Hi guys, I have just installed around 10 Z-Wave modules in my house, all Qubino brand: A couple of dimmers, a couple of 2-relay modules and some single relay modules. The Z-Wave controller I'm using is a 5th gen. Aeon Z-Wave stick. The software I'm currently running is Domoticz, because I could easi...

Re: How to backup Z-wave node associations?

This post seems to point into the same direction:
https://www.domoticz.com/forum/viewtopi ... =24&t=8498

Now if I introduce my Z-Wave USB stick to a freshly installed computer, will domotica software on it recognize my devices? Or do I need to disassociate and reassociate everything?

Re: New installation: Fibaro, Qubino or Zipato after all?

Ethernet is possible. I went for Modbus with the same heating pump. What do you mean by that? Are Ethernet and ModBus options that need to be installed? The manual mentions Ethernet, so I kind'a assumed it comes with an Ethernet interface standard. As to my understanding the token was only valid fo...

How to backup Z-wave node associations?

I have moved to a new house and left the Xanura S10 installation behind me. Now I'm starting all over again and I have selected (mostly) Qubino Z-Wave Plus modules for the job. I have selected the Aeontec Gen5 Z-stick as my network controller, but I'm still in doubt about what software/box to use. I...

It's a Nibe (F1145-PC), which has an Ethernet interface, I think.

Re: New installation: Fibaro, Qubino or Zipato after all?

There are several HS people here that tried Fibaro but also found it buggy and limited. Than you might be better of with a ugly but versatile tool like HS. It has been very stable lately. And yes it's a lot more work to get a good looking interface but I like a screen in every room so I can see the...

Re: New installation: Fibaro, Qubino or Zipato after all?

First of all, my Xanura modules work for 10-15 years without a single problem. Experiences vary. The first two years were dramatic, after that it stabilized. The switches can easily be repaired, because it's usually just the capacitor that dried out. The dimmers are a bit harder. I had one that com...
