Re: z-wave large(r) network with domoticz/raspberry pi

BTW: 20+ devices will work fine, but the start-up can take many minutes with open-zwave ... With RaZberry it will be faster, but has its own problems too.

Re: z-wave large(r) network with domoticz/raspberry pi

Crashes are weird, and i don't have them with open-zwave for a long time (I am not running Domoticz, but DomotiGa). The 3 minutes after the initial setup of the z-wave network, seems to be long (mine with 2 Fibaro's is less then 1 minute). You should check the OZW_Log.txt for "Attempt 2" a...

Re: domotiga 1.0019 pasword hashing not working

The hashing worked a while ago (i had it working in my pre-alpha Yii), but i will have a look why it isn't working anymore.

Re: Aeon Labs Z-Stick trouble

In the open-zwave group somebody communicated with Aeon Labs, and they really gave a bogus/stupid reply: I have just gotten some more information from the engineers that I have been talking to, this is an issue that has happened before. The Z-Stick will lock up after processing a large volume of con...

Re: Zwave.ME ZSTICK on Ubuntu 14.04

Seems to be the same type of USB/serial type as the AEON Z-Wave stick is using, so it is weird why it isn't working. You're sure it doesn't create another device like /dev/ttyACM*?

Re: Aeon Labs Z-Stick trouble

If it happens again, and again ... I highly recommend to get e.g. the zwave.me stick and not cutting open the cable. You can damage your USB port or stick if you do like that, also HomeSeer needs to be able to recover from such "weird" disconnect scenario.

Re: Aeon Labs Z-Stick trouble

@freakstar:

The problem is discussed in the following thread:
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/o ... vm2qqhYtoJ

Many people had it, and they tried reboot, soft-reset, etc ... nothing helped. Only unplug/replug is the solution.

Re: Aeon Labs Z-Stick trouble

It is a well known issue with the Aeon stick, it will "hang" after a while. Only solution is to unplug/replug the stick. The interval can be 1 hour or 12 months, depends on your network. There seem to be a relationship with the number of dead/faulty and/or bad communication devices. A guy ...

Re: domotiyii : url not found

It looks to be there already:
Use DomotiYii

After the Server and DomotiYii are installed and configured you can start using the DomotiYii client.

Go to http://serverip/domotiyii

Re: Visonic Powermax Powerlink protocol description

The A5 messages aren't send when e.g. a sensor detects something or such error ... Normally it reports the (global) status of the system, if you want to have more understandig, have a look into the following (lua) source code: http://code.mios.com/trac/mios_visonic-powermax/browser/trunk It is the b...

Re: Visonic Powermax Powerlink protocol description

The packet looks to be correct, but nobody has decoded the the A5, message 07, 08 and 09 yet. I saw somewhere the 07 is a device status message ... So if you can decode and share it with us? :D

Ok, the legacy polling was broken. I fixed it in the beta, which will be released soon as 1.0.016. With a new and shiny Open Z-Wave Commander :-)

Re: Z-Wave setup

The behaviour sounds like: - Current dim value is 0% - Set dim value to 70% - Request is send to open-zwave library "SetValue to 70" - The open-zwave will queue this request, BUT also will queue a GetValue request - The SetValue is executed, within milliseconds the GetValue is also execute...

Re: Anybody using Android z-wave?

Checked the link, but the following made me close the page directly: For International Users Please use Google Translate to translate this page, thanks you. The information seems to be only in Indian language. Also I don't recommend to use it, because any change in open-zwave has to be ported (again...
