Re: Bwired Opentherm Gateway solution with EZL-70
Sorry you lost me.. How could you run remserial on a EZL-70? I want to connect the EZL-70 to the OTGW and receive it on a linux box. How could I use remserial to connect to that network attached serial device? I thought remserial was to create network attached serial devices on linux boxes.

Yes that would work nicely with a raspberry πhvxl wrote:http://lpccomp.bc.ca/remserial/sj3fk3 wrote:One way of connecting is with a virtual comport driver. For my current setup I need that driver (under linux)

Re: Bwired Opentherm Gateway solution with EZL-70
According to the manual the EZL-70 can be programmed through the serial port using AT commands, so no windows necessary. After that you just set up a telnet connection to get the data. The thing is: I want to use domotiga to connect to it and it only supports a serial connection to the OTGW, but ma...

Re: Bwired Opentherm Gateway solution with EZL-70
Why use the serial comport driver, are you not able to connect directly to the device based on tcpip Also check these http://en.usr.cn/Ethernet-Module/RS232-serial-to-ethernet-converter-tcp-ip-module I want to use it with domotiga to connect to the OTGW and for now domotiga only supports a (direct)...

Re: Bwired Opentherm Gateway solution with EZL-70
This is hardware, so it is OS independent. There is a windows tool which can help you to configure the EZL-70, after that you do not need windows to use it off course. But if you really do not want to use windows, read the part in the manual about serial configuration (ATC mode) The other end is no...

Re: CV control / Opentherm gateway with iPhone app
Yeah.. to bad.. because it sounded like a real winner.. I would love a OT2IPGW (opentherm to IP gateway) and I think there is a healthy market for it 2!

Re: Domoticz, Open source Home Automation Software
Update: Giving it a try :) Couple of points. Architecture wise I would make the webserver part optional. I would prefer to use my defaul webserver (nginx) and when resources count why run two servers if you can do it with one and I see some code to support the P1 port via serial, that is GREAT! But ...

Re: Domoticz, Open source Home Automation Software
Second the plugwise, ELV MAX! and OTGW! And for me domotica should always run in Linux and never on Windows, but that's probably because I'm Windows-handicapped. But apart from that there is stability and resources to be considered. Linux makes things like Raspberry Pi (or openWRT boxes posible). I'...

Re: Bwired Opentherm Gateway solution with EZL-70
As most of you know, i like everything IP Based, so I decided to connect to OTG to the Antratek EZL-70 Ethernet module http://www.antratek.be/Sollae.html This module has a TTL input, so I left the MAX232 out and connected the PIC directly based on TTL via 3 wires. Cool stuff. I was thinking of doin...

Re: ELV the MAX! question for beginner
ELV -the max is over a year old now. What's the current experience? How's the software and reliability (zijn er nog kinderziektes?) I've been using it for about 6 months now and I must say. I think it's the best domotica investment so far. The stuff works. It's not the prettiest solution out there,...

Re: Rfxcom via usb hub
The function of an USB hub is to extend the number of USB ports. Use a powered USB hub. Do not use an USB hub powered by the VERA because the VERA is not able to power a lot of USB devices like RFXtrx433 and the smart meter. Yup and I can confirm it works for me but I have both a P1 serial and a RF...

Re: Use PIR-2050 for ON (not OFF)
This all works fine, UNTIL the light gets activated by the PIR.. It stays on for the set time and then the PIR-2050 switches the ACD-1000 OFF. Could it be that the PIR is not undercontrol by Domotiga? In that case you should do so. You can control the PIR trigger with (a time) condition or the lamp...

Re: web enabled software to control doorlocks
Just a wild guess here, but I think this is not really Verkenner was looking for. I also think that your post is a little to commercially driven. It's not my forum and I'm relatively new here so I am by no means an authority, but my advise would be to watch the line between advertising your product ...
