Re: analog cable to IP converters?
2N has their 2Wire module system. It delivers IP and PoE over two wires. They also have a good intercom system. I've installed several IP Audio and Video Kits.

Differences between P1 and M-Bus
For a larger smart metering setup I'm investigating if I can use the P1 port to connect to an M-bus network containing my datalogger (HWG-Pwr from HW-group) and several M-bus meters. I also have some Smartmeters with P1 ports I would like to include in the datalogging. OMS and DSMR seem to overlap a...

Re: Building private history information with the Stretch
I haven't taken the time to look at this. I've noticed in the releasenotes of the new firmware there should be some more info about historical usage in the XML output. However I don't want to upgrade yet as I hope to get root access to the stretch using some exploits.

Re: Combination of Aritech ATS and Z-wave
Unless you want to use your alarm to control your home automation by detail, the Aritech KNX gateway is also quite expensive. You could add a relay board to the Aritech, and program it in such a way each relay trips in that situation you want to use. Then use those triggers to control you home autom...

Re: Perilex socket and ventilation system
It might be possible with multiple "staircase" setups (one for each speed), but if you don't have the need for the original 3-way switch I would suggest you take it out. You can always replace it with a pulse switch which instead controls the new way. i.e. button 1 for low speed, button 2 ...

Re: KNX Devices review
I'm not sure what you will be using the module for so it's hard to give any comments. I have several Zennio modules in my system (HVAC and Quad, but not the actinbox). My experience is that Zennio delivers very good products. They do what they say they should do and reliably. I also think Zennio is ...

Re: Ethernet based video door bell
Is there anyone who looked at the Windows SIP clients to support this (question remiblum)?
I've found some SIP clients with video, however I don't know how to get a regular IP camera integrated in a SIP client.
