Re: Very cheap, very small Wifi modules

Just an example of what you can do with these modules; MQTT over Wifi for small MCUs like Arduino/Jeenodes etc. The resulting compiled code size is much smaller than MQTT library + Ethernet library so this leaves more room for the actual code. The downside is that there's no auto reconnect (yet) whi...

Very cheap, very small Wifi modules on Kickstarter

Last Christmas I found 2 really small Wifi modules under the tree. These modules have Wifi (duh), UART, GPIO and are programmable in Lua. Just think about it - a Door sensor for the price of this module (< EUR 10), a reed switch with magnet and some power... yes, it's possible! (haven't tried it yet...

Re: Moving message display

My ledbar script only supports a very small part of the features (color & speed, that's all I need) but this is how I calculate the checksum, maybe this will help. It's very simple actually, just a few lines of Javascript. So if your ledbar is truly compatible with AM03127 this should work. .......

Re: Controlling Remeha iSense thermostat the cheap way

Nice alternative, I had an iSense once, but ditched it cause it didn't do what I wanted it to - can't recall what it was anymore... :?:

Re: Home Automation Solutions/Platforms in Europe.

Hi Mika, Home Automation or (Home) Remote Control solutions? Home Automation is things like: - automatically switching on (if needed) heavy machinery like washing machines, dryers when the solar panels are producing enough energy; - the house automatically going to some sort of 'eco' mode when nobod...

RaZberry trick to export device state changes

Hi, not so many posts by me here, huh? Well, here's one that might be useful for RaZberry users that like to do more with the device values of their ZWave hardware. I have one of those good-looking Fibaro motion sensors since a week or so, so I started using my RaZberry again to see if I coul...

@peter:
So, where will we be discussing this further .. my weblog, this forum or email as I suggested somewhere.
Pick just 1 please, cause that's the maximum amount of input channels per subject I can handle right now.
