Toon for Android

Re: android app TOON
Just installed your app on my ancient Samsung Galaxy S3 mini. Screen resolution barely non-negative .
Apart from my compliments for this functioning app, just a few remarks:
The screen doesn't fit my phone, see attached screenshot. It could be the age of my phone, or the fact that my toon is a toon2? Toon screen resolution 1024*600 or thereabouts?
There's a linefeed "\n" in view in the program step window "Om 23:00 uur \n op..."
As soon as I want to adjust temp I get the message "Fout bij het ophalen van temperatuurgegevens: response data or responseHandler is null". That could also be because of my toon being on my desk and not connected to a boiler. Will attach it to my boiler emulator later this week.

Re: android app TOON
S3 Mini is too old for these days.... So, yes, it's because of the age of your phone.
The newline issue is fixed in the next release. And we're working on the responseHandler error.

It suits my needs. Will start working on the VNC server for toon2 then as an alternative.WickedMaster wrote:S3 Mini is too old for these days.... So, yes, it's because of the age of your phone.
Re: android app TOON
No, we fetch the data and set that in our own UI.marcelr wrote:Just installed your app on my ancient Samsung Galaxy S3 mini. Screen resolution barely non-negative .

I knew this was an problem however I don't have an solution as of yet and, since most of the devices won't be having this issue, It'll be not very high on the (now very long) to-do list, I'm sorry.
Nope, that's not because of your boiler but an error in the app.marcelr wrote:As soon as I want to adjust temp I get the message "Fout bij het ophalen van temperatuurgegevens: response data or responseHandler is null". But since like an hour, I too have an rooted Toon (Thanks to WickedMaster!) so I'll be able to try and resolve these issues.

We'll figure something out, don't worry.marcelr wrote:It suits my needs. Will start working on the VNC server for toon2 then as an alternative.WickedMaster wrote:S3 Mini is too old for these days.... So, yes, it's because of the age of your phone.
If there are more people having the same issue we'll handle it sooner.
Re: Toon for Android
Hi,
Not sure if this was reported already: Stroom nu gives N/A, while GAS is correct.
Also, I'm not too excited about the 2 digit precision behind the comma: 18.22. It gives the impression that the temperature measurement is very accurate (while it's not that precise).
Other than that: Good Job!

The 'two digi issue' is already solved in the upcoming alpha version: see here https://github.com/fabianblom/Toon-Android/issues/14yjb wrote:Also, I'm not too excited about the 2 digit precision behind the comma: 18.22. Re: Toon for Android
Updated the first post on where to check if there isn't already an issue created.

Re: Toon for Android
Re: Toon for Android
Installed the app on a Huawei Mate 10 Lite, after connecting to Toon the app immediately crashes.
When I am back home I will see if I can get a logcat.
