Screen always on

I read that i can manually adjust the dim-function.
Within an other topic there's talked about a piece of code where an particular app (buienradar in this example) respons on the events 'sun comes up' and 'sun goes down'.
What i want to test:
Is it possible to put that piece of code within the dim-screen code?
What i would like to test:
Toon always on the white screen, after sun goed down in dimmode.
Does this effect the screen / functioning negativly of the toon? (burning pixels or getting to hot?)
