I stumbled across a proper fix on Github; it disables gzipping by supplying the proper headers with the request.

Looks likes this solved also my reboot problem.
For use in Domoticz in dzVents, use:
domoticz.openURL({
url = 'http://'..ToonIP..'/boilerstatus/boilervalues.txt',
method = 'GET',
headers = {['accept-encoding'] = 'None'},
callback = 'triggerToonGetInfo2boilervalues'
})
(you can remove callback if you don't use it)

i have to much played with the /qmf/etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf
and now some things are not working anymore,
can someone send the lighttpd.conf conf file (toon1)
