Launched new website Domoticaworld.com

Post by DJF3 »

After a lot of work the basics for my new Domotica website are finally finished. This new architecture makes interaction and posting of more information easier.

New website: http://www.domoticaworld.com

Sections
- Domotica - general information on home automation
- Scripts: Homeseer and related scripts/plugins
- Projects: Home automation projects
- Roadmap: the (im)possible and (un)realistic projects

Question to you
- What's missing?
- What could be better? (content, navigation, external info, etc)

Feel free to leave a message on the guestbook or on the individual pages.

Thank you!

UPDATE: Using YSlow/Firebug I have fine-tuned the website performance. It should be a lot better now. Also fixed a couple of old links.

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required './domotica/wp-blog-header.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib64/php:/usr/lib/php') in /home1/nldjcom/public_html/domotica/index.php on line 17

Rene, what is the URL in your address bar when you see this message? I have successfully tested:
- OSX Safari
- OSX Firefox
- OSX Chrome
- Win7 Firefox
- Win7 IE

I have updated the 'see more posts' link which was wrong ;-)

Cheers
DJ

Getting the same error as Rene. This is a server side issue, not client.
The error occurs when i click "Click here to see more posts".

Sometimes it's very slow? For example when I clicked the Guestbook.

Nice site 8) On page "Domotica" with url in adressbar : http://www.domoticaworld.com/domotica1/

the button to components, how it works, why? and pricing give the following error:

Warning: require(./domotica/wp-blog-header.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home1/nldjcom/public_html/domotica/index.php on line 17

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required './domotica/wp-blog-header.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib64/php:/usr/lib/php') in /home1/nldjcom/public_html/domotica/index.php on line 17

For the bluetooth presence; I am using the free Jon00 bleutooth "plugin" which is working perfect for me with a sitecom dongle and HTC desire/wildfire and HTC HD.
Maybe a tip for you site.

DJ,

I can vote at each new visit/session to your site, so if you wonder why 1 of the technologies is very popular, you now know why
The plex media player in the mac mini post links to the old site.
On http://www.domoticaworld.com/projects/doorcam/, link Webcam script, gives this error:

Code: Select all

Warning: require(./domotica/wp-blog-header.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home1/nldjcom/public_html/domotica/index.php on line 17

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required './domotica/wp-blog-header.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib64/php:/usr/lib/php') in /home1/nldjcom/public_html/domotica/index.php on line 17
Try the Broken Link Checker Plugin for Wordpress, maybe this will probably help you to find this kind of errors? (not sure, but worth a try, solving them is another thing :) )

Digit, I'm using the broken link checker. The problem is that the site is actually located in the /domotica/ folder but using URL re-writes this sub-folder is not visible. The result is that the broken link checker does see the files even though they generate an error message ;-)
