Which cable for Domotiga and NTA8130

Post by pietervanharen »

I want to connect my Domotiga to my Kampstrup smart meter. I know that the meter is NTA8130 compatible and has a P1 gate, but which cable do I have to use to connect it?

Based on the specs in the Smart Meter wiki page I think I need the TTL-232RG-VSW5V-WE from FDTI, is that correct?

I ordered "FTTL232R: FTDI TTL232R (5V TTL) USB to serial cable" at http://www.antratek.nl and that cable is working fine on a Kampstrup smart meter.

I used this pinout:

HowTo configure the FTDI chip, you can best read the blog of Maarten Damen.
