Aeotec, Fibaro and HASSIO

Post by Brainbox72 »

Hello,

So I decided to start experimenting with Home Assistant (HASSIO) and ZWave.
Bought the Aeotec ZW090 Z-Stick Gen 5 EU and two Fibaro Door/Window sensors.
The Aeotec is inserted in a Raspberry Pi3, the OS is HASSIO.
I did some installing and the Stick and sensors are visible. (see attachment) But after that, nothing happens. I get no message when the door is opened (where the sensor is attached to)
What am I doing wrong, or should I configure more?

Regards,

I assume your Z-Wave devices are battery powered (then they sleep 99% of the time). Open-Zwave only passes on the open/close signals if the device is fully discovered ... So you need to wake-up your devices and afterwards it should work. Yes - it is a b***** if your restart HASS.io, then you need to wake them up again.
