Nice to hear that.

Han was doing some experiments with Zigbee. Let's hope he can state his opinion after working with it in "real world" conditions.

Yes they clearly not agree!

Conclusions:
Based on work to-date, it is safe to draw the following
conclusions:
• ZigBee contains a great many features that are
designed to promote coexistence and robust operation
in the face of interference.
• Even in the presence of a surprising amount of
interference, ZigBee devices continue to
communicate effectively.
• Both tests and everyday use in realistic environments
with real data traffic bear prove ZigBee’s robustness.

Although zigbee might be nice, dont forget. Marmitek and x10 and other stuff also say on the website "robust" "quality hardware" "a breeze to work with" and such terms. Zigbee themself would never post a bad paper.. i would rather have 3rth party or someone else say it ;) just my 2 cents..

OK that's mostly always the case I know.
But its not just a quote, if you read the report closely there are all kinds of test reports and measurements.

well. being an "IEEE" standard, I though it was hard to believe they didn't test it under "Wifi" interference in the first place. But again, nothing like real live results from someone really trying it in normal circumsntances. :)

Besides, it's easy to report bad stuff about anything, just test a WIFI router next to a 11n device, constantly transferring data at full speed, and the regular wifi transmission will also be impossible.

I agree, lets see the live results! Its about time that some good Zigbee products are released, what I have seen so far is not giving me the thrills :-)

And while they're at it...

ZigBee PRO standard gets the all clear
"The ZigBee Alliance has approved the ZigBee PRO profile stack that adds advanced features and greater flexibility to the original specification, particularly related to ease-of-use and support for larger networks."
