I`m trying to setup XPL/XAP support on HomeSeer but i cannot find the forest because the trees are blocking my view
I have the following setup
Domotica01
- Windows 7 desktop
- Running HS2
- Running HS3
- Running LogitechMediaServer (with XPL support enabled)
- Installed XPLhub http://www.xplproject.org.uk/wiki/index ... e_Software
Domotica02
- Ubuntu desktop
- Domotiga
- XPLHub wget http://www.xpl4java.org/xPL4Linux/downloads/xPLHub.tgz
- When i check the logging i can see XPL messages from Logitech Media Server Players
So far so good, now i want to add HS2/HS3 to the XPL messages but what do i need to change ?
I found this homeseer thread which seems to have a HUB with XPL and XAP support but it is not working on my Windows 7 machine

Re: XPL/XAP support HomeSeer
I don't think that HomeSeer supports xPL directly, although I haven't used HS for quite some time.
I think that Michael (MCS) wrote a combined xPL / xAP hub that "gatewayed" xPL messages into xAP messages so that they could be used with his xAP HomeSeer plugin. So I think that you'd need to get his xPL/xAP hub working on your HS machine and install his xAP plugin in HS. Without his xPL / xAP hub you won't see anything from xPL in HomeSeer.
DCM is a good xPL Viewer, written in Java so it works on most platforms, Windows included http://www.xpl4java.org/xPL4Java/. If you run that on the Windows machine you should be able to see the xPL traffic there too.
Hope that helps!

Re: XPL/XAP support HomeSeer
I already tested DCM under Ubuntu i think and it indeed shows me some messages.
The MCS xPL/xAP is not yet working on my HomeSeer system not sure why but it is complaining about mswinsck.ocx and when i google there are more issues and someone telling to use xfx xAP hub which is not translating xPL and xAP

Re: XPL/XAP support HomeSeer
I made some progeress by switching to xAP i`m using the
xfx Message Viewer and xfx HUB on my desktop, and the xapmcsHubService on my HomeSeer system and i can see the heartbeat when i enable/disable the mcsxAP plugin.
I also enable the Logitech Media Server xAP plugin and i see messages about the player status. So the hub is working fine. I now need to find out how to use the mcsxAP plugin.
