PowerMax Complete: hot to shut down for opening?

Post by irekz »

Hi guys.
Planing to connect arduino or esp8266 to RS232 on my powermax complete.
To do this I need a good access to internals of the alarm. Opening a front panel is not a problem (get a warning light).
But when I remove the ribbon cable from the front panel to back panel - outside siren goes off.

Q: What is the best way to disable the alarm for the duration of tinkering (I have access to installer menu, but nothing obvious).

Cheers,
Irek

If entering installer mode does not prevent the alarm, can't you just temporarily remove the siren from the config?

(backup current config first)
