More Than 600000 Macs Infected, With Flashback Botnet Trojan

Post by Noel »

Ooops....
More Than 600,000 Macs Infected, With Flashback Botnet Trojan
More than half a million Macs are infected with the Flashback Trojan, a malware package designed to steal personal information, according to a Russian antivirus company.
I wish I had paid twice what a PC costs to buy one of those safe MACs!

Just 600K Macs? That's not even close to 0,1% of all Macs, let alone all infected Windoze machines  Nice try though

 Want to check if you have the virus? Follow these instructions: http://www.f-secure.com/v-descs/trojan- ... ck_i.shtml

I am doing something stupid here by replying but what the heck.
It was never allowed by Herr Jobs to bring out such information and the Apple adepts kept their mouth shut because they where in shame when a virus hit them. Truth is that Mac OS is just as 'crappy' as any other OS, including debian and unix. If Mac's would have the marketshare as MS have then they would have been the target of hacker. Why waste your time to rob a single design shop when you can trash a multinational bank. The profits (and fame) are much higher.

And btw did you know that over the last few years 90% of the leaks found dealt with Unix based systems.
