Hello,
I have bought an opentherm gateway from the kiwi website. I have changed the trafo and the 7805, because i wanted to use a esp8266. The changes that were made were recommended in this forum.

This are the parts that i have added:
EI 30/15,5 printtransformator VB 2 VA Primair: 230 V Secundair: 15 V 133 mA 2 VA VB 2,0/1/15 Block (710564-89)
DC/DC-converter, print Recom International R-78E5.0-0.5 24 V/DC 5 V/DC 500 mA Aantal uitgangen: 1 x (157954-89)

Now I was trying to carry out the tests from the otgw website. and at one of these tests I needed to connect the X1 and X2 with each other and then on the IC1 the pin 2 connecten with pin 14 and it suppose to drop the X2 to 5v or 7V but it doesn't show that it show 17V.

this are the results of my test :

1 : measure the voltage on X1 : 30.2V
2: measure the current between the two terminals of X1 : 0.65V
3 : connect pin 3 of the IC1 socket to ground (e.g. pin 5) : 2.04V
4: use two pieces of wire to connect X1 to X2, with OK1 Connected : 17.02V
5: connect pin 2 of the IC1 socket to VDD (e.g. pin 14), X1 and 2 are still connected with each other : 17.02V
6: Measure the voltage on pin 18 of the IC1 socket with pin 3 left open : 0V
7: Measure the voltage on pin 18 of the IC1 socket with pin 3 left closed : 0V

Does someone have a idea how i can solve this problem.
Thanks in advance!

Kind regards,

Malek Sediqi

the links of the pictures weren't working.

I have checked everything but i can't find the problem. I have connected it with my laptop and i'm receiving R0000000 in OTmonitor and if i connect it with my boiler(Remeha avanta 24C) then the OTmonitor prints out disconnected and connected constantly. I have runed the diagnostic.hex file and some of the test i can't run.

TEST 1 : i don't have Leds
TEST 2 : Shows nothing
TEST 3 : Shows nothing
TEST 4 : Shows nothing
TEST 5 : Shows Boiler 0.0V, Thermostat: shows voltage and the reference Voltage was 1.21V
TEST 6 : Shows nothing

This is a project for school and I want it to be finished on time. Does someone have any idea how to solve this problem.

Good job figuring this out yourself. And I appreciate that you report back what the problem was even though you solved it on your own.

If you can post a link to your school project when it's finished, I would love to see what you did.
