Best Thermostat for OTGW

Post by debian23 »

I am currently busy assembling my OTGW. I just found out that my current thermostat does not support opentherm. Therefore, I would like to know what is the best thermostat to get for use with the OTGW. I have seen the thermostat topic stickied in this forum, however I am unsure what would be the best one in terms of control.

What would be the best thermostat if you could freely choose one in combination with the OTGW?

"Best" is a rather subjective concept. It all depends on what characteristics are important to you. Which is exactly why the thermostat topic tries to indicate which features are available on the listed thermostats. That way you can make an informed choice.

But for your information: A Honeywell Chronotherm Modulation T8851M1000 and a Remeha iSense were used during the development of the OTGW. So those two probably have the most extensive support.
