Changing Wifi settings

Post by arminas »

Hello is there any way to change wifi settings for OTGW without resetting it?

In Web UI i can modify different options, but not wifi.

You have to realize that the OTGW is a serial device. For a Web UI you need an IP-based device. So the OTGW doesn't have a Web UI itself. There are several options for making the OTGW accessible via a browser. You didn't indicate which one you're using.

Assuming you are talking about OTmonitor, that is a program that can talk to the serial interface of the OTGW. This can be done via an actual serial port on the PC, using a USB-serial adapter, or with some sort of serial to IP device. For this last method again a lot of options are possible. Among others: A terminal server, another computer (for example a Raspberry Pi), a USR-TCP232-T2 ethernet module, or an ESP-based device. For this last one, you have a choice of firmware you can use.

I hope that makes it clear it is not feasible to have a setting in OTmonitor to change the IP address of whatever communication method you use. You will have to use the available configuration options of the specific device for that. They may have a Web UI as well. Or maybe you'll have to use a different tool. It is hard to say based on the information you provided.
