Hi all,
Today Eneco released 5.2.11 of the Toon firmware. A few of us already forced their rooted toon to 5.2.11 and it looks ok. The last few weeks we modified the resource file code a bit to allow the changes in 5.2.11 to be compatible with the custom apps.
Most notably is the new (native) virtual keyboard from QT 5.11. We have choosen to adapt the old style (with a seperate full screen keyboard) together with the new virtual keyboard. This allowed most apps to be compatible again.
For you, the ones who code QML apps, please check your own apps and post your questions about how to fix them for in 5.2.11 in your app topic. We will help you understand what you need to change if it is not working out of the box.

Somewhere this afternoon I will update the 'online firmware check file' which will in turn allow your rooted toons to be updated using the 'check update' button in the TSC menu. If you can't wait, just run a forced update (update-rooted.sh -v 5.2.11) within your SSH client.

Just updated by using the update script and also by using the "Check for updates" button. Both methods working fine. Thanks!

Wifi and Toon.. such a good marriage..

The firmware update should not be the reason. What are you seeing? LAN cable still works? Ever seen wifi issue's before? (it is known that the toon has sometimes issue's with high channel numbers (9, 10, 11 etc)

When trying to connect to wifi network no networks are visible. Never had any issues with Toon and wifi before until now....

Added:
channel id is 7 on 2.4Ghz.
Need to try cable....

Just upgraded to version 5.2.11

One Issue:
Downloading http://files.domoticaforum.eu/uploads/T ... r0_qb2.ipk.
Upgrading wastecollection on root from 4.19-r0 to 4.20-r0...
Collected errors:
* satisfy_dependencies_for: Cannot satisfy the following dependencies for wastecollection:
* tsc-certificates (>= 1.1.1) *
* opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package wastecollection.

I try to download it now from the app store but it does not work, I receiving an popup with the message their is a new version of toon software. But when I check the software is running 5.2.11.

the wastecollection is the only app that does install from the store.

I will do it later tonight manual.

The WiFi is okay here..

Okay... Manual install did not work:

Error message:

I upload the 4.19-r0 version and install it manual and that works..

I think something is wrong in the 4.20 version.

Tried with cable now, connection is ok but still no wifi networks defecte.

EDIT:
Full powercycle did the trick, removed Toon power module waited 1 minute and put back the power, then reboot and Wi-Fi was back.

I've seen this issue as well. Just install tsc-certificates-1.1.1 from here. After that you'll be able to install the latest wastecollection.

tsc certificates 1.1.1 is supposed to install automatically with wastecollection 4.20.
Will have to look into that, for now, the manual installation of tsc certificates will solve it indeed.

Unfortunately not happening. Tested it also on another Toon, but installation fails due to the missing dependency.

tsc-certificates 1.1.1 is now installed correctly with the wastecollection app 4.20 (I made a typo on the server)

Can you still export your data through Toon's native function? Rumour has it that this functionality has been removed.
