small teaser with rubbish test data from my google calendar (via a cron job and wget)..... nothing ready to be released yet, but progressing :)
In dim state I am thinking of showing the first next/active appointment only.
Also need to redesign the UI on the tile (show dates as mm/dd etc etc etc)
Not sure when ready for a first release, I have a busy weekend coming up.....

Hi all,

small progress update: the first release of the app is ready.
Stuff to do before it can be released:
- packaging for distribution via ToonStore
(and ensure the newest google root certificate is installed along with the app)
- quick test of the app on a Toon 1

coming soon..... (not today)……

I will start a new topic when released so I will be able to maintain the first post for future releases (I guess there will be quite a few :-) )

High level functionality of this first release:
- supports merging multiple google calendars (I included the national holidays calendar), URL's to be added manually to the array in ../apps/calendar/userSettings.json
In principle there is no limit to the number of calendars to be merged.
- tile in dim state shows the active or first upcoming event, in normal state shows the first three upcoming events
- clicking on the tile gives you a scrollable list of all future events and a button to refresh the calendar (e.g. when you just updated your google calendar)
- google calendars are refreshed automatically after finishing an event, and therefor also updating the tile and screen. I am open for discussion what the refresh rate should be.

Kind regardz,

Toonz
