Toon app: OV Informatie

Post by Toonz »

Hi all,

Happy to announce the second release of my OV app in ToonStore (version 1.1.0), inspired by the dashticz app posted earlier by robgeerts which was no longer maintained.
The dashticz app had some performance issues which I wanted to tackle but ended up in a major rewrite of the original app.
I started this new topic so I can maintain the first post going forward.

This version doesn't talk to the dashticz server anymore but retrieves the data directly from the 9292 website.
This first release can show you the departures from any bus-, metro- ,tram and trainstation in the Netherlands.
The app has a tile with the first departing train or bus and a screen with 12 upcoming departures.
You can select your station via the app ('Kies Halte/Station') and use any search criteria for the name of the halte/station.
Data is refreshed every 2 minutes.

Version 1.1.0 adds the option to filter on destinations and will save the filter in your settings.
The same settings will be applied again after reboot.

In future releases it will be possible to plan journeys as well.

Hi all,

I just released version 1.1.0 in ToonStore, implementing the suggestion from Akatar.
Changelog:
- added filter function on destination, filter is saved and used again at gui restart
- search criterium for busstop/trainstation is saved and used again at gui restart

N.B. The filter criteria is case sensitive.

Updated screenshot in post #1.

hi ll,

just released version 1.1.1 in ToonStore. No need to upgrade for existing users.

Changelog:
- optimizations in the installer, no new functionality (thanks hvxl for the tip)

Very very nice app!! Really very useful to see at what time the next bus to the station leaves. I have one small problem however: sometimes the OV-info data doesn't seem to update anymore and keeps showing the same old departure time, even hours after the bus left. As soon as I restart the GUI the OV-app starts working again perfectly for a few days, but then all of a sudden it will stop again. All other Toon-apps seem to update fine so it's not a wifi-problem I think. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Edit: Nevermind, it seems to be solved by uninstalling some other apps. Maybe it was a memory-issue. OV-info is working fine now!

Since the new tsc update the OV app doesn't work anymore.
It isn't visible on the dashbaord.
I removed the app and reinstalled of again but without any result. When I want to add to a tile it is not available.

Anyone else this issue?

I can confirm the app is not compatible with the latest firmware.
I need to make changes for that when I return from holiday.

Hopefully fixed before the new school season starts.

EDIT: can easily be fixed yourself before a new version hits the ToonStore:
remove line 4 from the file OvApp.qml: 'import HttpRequest 1.0'
and restart the gui.
