Did you setup the right address for the router and sub domain?

After selecting wifi network, fill in your wifi password, static ip, static gateway and subnet. Click save.
Select your wifi network (the one you have selected in the setup) and browse to the static ip adress you have selected (or http://esp-toonwater.local). If you cannot find the adress, power off and power on the Wemos again.

If you are using a old, previous used Wemos, flash the blanco 4MB image first.

Snug fit for the Wemos D1 mini. Project finished. Both things printed from thingiverse.

Keep up the good work!

Finally received my sensor from Ali today. I made a nice holder from plexiglass.
Software and hardware seems to be in order, because if I wave a piece of metal in front of the sensor, the counter in the Wemos web interface goes up.
Problem is that wherever I position the sensor, it does not detect the turning wheel in the watermeter yet.
I probably need to grind the blue tip of the sensor. Haven’t done that yet. How much can I grind off? In the start of this topic 1mm is mentioned. Seems like a lot. Is there risk of grinding too much off?

Mine works fine without grinding, did you check the detection distance with the piece of metal? And it needs to be aligned off center to work.

My sensor only detects metal when it’s within 4-5mm distance.
Yes, the hole is at the right place, but I also checked different positions on the watermeter manually but nothing is detected.

Did jou drill the hole through the plexiglas so the sensor is in contact with the meter itseld? If so, start to grind a bit of the tip of the sensor bit-by bit. I have a sensor wich has conpletely lost the blue plastic and is still working. I think the plastic is to closes the sensor for water.

I have started grinding. See the photo of the result. When moving the sensor manually over de meter it now detects the coil so that is good News! I can start mounting now.
Yes, the sensor hangs beneath the plexiglass so the tip directly touches the plastic cover of the meter.

Yes, it is just a plastic cap to close the sensor. Best is to mount it with water flowing.. so open one of the water tap points.

Installation complete. Works like a charm.
I only had to enter the current value of the watermeter in the ESP interface. If I enter the value on the Toon the value becomes weird. Is that a know bug?

You should enter 231562 and not 231,562 or 231.562

Yes that’s what I did. The same applies for the ESP interface. No points or commas.

You mean first days use? That's normal because it has a previous value which was reported earlier and I cannot tell if that's fixed yet. You should wait for oepie loepie then to confirm.
