Experience S10 devices

Post by poegje »

I'm thinking about buying these S10 switches (see link). The main reason for buying them is because the price is Ok and because they are thin (18mm). The fact that they are this thin comes in very handy because i don't have much space in the wall.

I would like to know your experiences with S10 devices, are they any good? I will be using them with halogen lighting and normal light bulbs.

I know there are micro units from other brands but when you add the space for the switch itself then they are to big to fit in the wall. Or am i overlooking possibilities?

S10 micro units are the biggest micro units.
Xanura and Marmitek are thiner.
This units have no two way communication.
If you control it local..your software will never now that.

just search for S10 you will find more about it.

I think they have still no CE certificate..
CE sounds not so important...i case of fire...maybe you will need that.

I have 1 installed in the scullery. It does what you can expect when you know the specs. Nothing less, nothing more. In terms of reliability i don't see any difference with X10, but what can you say about that with only 1 module :-)
