I am really interested if people use one of the automatic vacuum cleaners available.
There are some threads from a while ago so please post some new views.
May be this should become an overview like we did with the webcams?
Please tell which Brand/model you have, how it does the job and how you control it.
Is it really a replacement doing a good job or is it still a gadget?

Pieter does it really do the job or do you have to clean almost as much by hand?
Anybody experience with the 'mobbing' ones?

Automatic vacuumcleaners
each day its clean, and each day when i empty the bin inside (if i dont forget) it -always- have dirt in there.. a lot of "small" dirt and lots of dog hairs too (my gf has a small dog)
my girlfriend does not vacuum the living room anymore, and trust me.. my gf is pretty uptight with having things clean.

Is it possible to move the vacuumcleaner to the next floor (bedroom) and let it do his work here? In that case it hasn't a dockingstation because that's situated in the livingroom.

One downside is cleaning the Roomba, It's so powerful that hairs etc are stuck in the brushes and wheels.
It's takes you about 20 minutes a month to dismantle and clean the roomba.
Other problem is that I let my roomba clean at night and my girly is a light sleeper, sometimes she thinks there is a burglar in the house

If you keep the door closed the roomba (I guess) will continue to find the basestation until the battery is empty.
