I want to buy an RFXcom, but I don't no which type, can some one give me advice?
I have sensors from Marmitek, (Door sensors and motion sensors), I want to control "klikaanklikuit".
I playing now with Housebot, I am thinking to buy that software.

No, not correct!
An USB interface can have (1 or 2 receivers) OR 1 transmitter.
So if you want the USB version:

Could anyone explain the difference between the USB and the Ethernet version? Can the Ethernet version function stand-alone, without the "server" running all of the time?

The USB and LAN are almost functional identical. For a home automation environment, both need a (low-power) system running 24/7 to process the received data or to transmit commands. No buffering is done in the interfaces.
