Hi Guys,
I'm busy replacing my MIDON LOG08 1-wire controller for the Poseidon 1250 controller which will control my Temperature and humidity sensors.
Advantage that it has a Lan controller and a webserver and supports XML.
I'm busy connection and replacing existing 1-wire with this controller.
It also has 3 digital inputs.
check it out here http://www.bwired.nl:93/
need to place all the sensors yet so they now have all the same readings [:)]
Keep you posted on this project
extra Info:
Sensors can be connected to the Poseidon model 1250 unit via two busses or you connect directly senor's contacts. The device measures values of connected sensors, the user can access the data over specialized protocols or web browser.
Poseidon can be integrated into NMS (Network Monitoring System), or used with the PD trigger software which simply alerts of a critical situation by sending an SMS message. As an alarm response, this software can close a relay (via network) that controls e.g. light signaling or alarm horn.
Industrial bus (RS485): up to 31 sensors, up to 1 000m
3 Digital inputs: connect relay dry contact directly
IT bus (1-Wire): up to 10 low cost probes, RJ11 wiring
Sensor value out of range: sending Email or SNMP Trap to several recipients.

Any specific reason not to use the very cheap Oregon THGR-122 temp/humidity sensors? Or do these have important limitations?

Poseidon 1250 Lan Controller
Hi DJ,
Yes they have there limitations, as well as the 1-Wire have there limitations
For getting the temperature for example from the In and Output of your heatingsystem (HVAC) or floorheating etc its better to use the 1-wire temperature sensors. You can connect them very easy and close on target. For room temperature etc its better to use the sensors like the Oregon Scientific THGR sensors, they have a nice display as well For the first category I use now the Poseidon 1250 Lan Controller.

i now use the medion 1-wire, can the podeidon directly connected to the same temp probes,or must they be replaced?

I'm not sure, ask the hw group at http://www.hw-group.com/index_en.html
Btw: I now also have the new Posiedon 3468
http://www.hw-group.com/products/poseid ... 68_en.html
and the HWg-STE is an ethernet web thermometer
http://www.hw-group.com/products/HWg-ST ... or_en.html
Will do a topic about these devices soon, I'm now testing them!
