New user questions:Mythtv intergration, interfaces, etc...

Post by williammanda »

1. I currently use mythtv and I would like to use a single remote control for both Mythtv and DomotiGa. I noticed that telnet was added and since Mythtv uses telnet, that route could be one possibility.
2. How well is Zwave supported? Can any Zwave device be used or only a selected few?
3. Where can I find a list of supported tablets? I saw where android was starting to get support.
4. Is this the correct place to ask DomotiGa questions?

http://www.domotiga.nl/ has a lot of the answers you're seeking.

Mythtv was one of my favorites as well, but at the dawn of the DVB-C era they lost their headstart to windows base solutions because of the lack of supported dvb hardware.
I'd say give it a try and write a great wiki article about that. Ron loves people supplying wiki material.

z-wave, http://www.domotiga.nl/projects/domotiga/wiki/Z-Wave

Tablets supported.. ehm, I'd say: Android type tablets (take your pick), iOS type tablets with the iOS interface. Other types could be used by using the web interface. If you're running a linux flavored tablet, consider running a X11 session over SSH and load the domotiga client remotely

4. It seems so. The registration on domotiga.nl has been set to manual for now as the admin has a lot of spam issues.
If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem!

Fibaro HC2, various z-wave switching, alerting, detection modules.
ELV FHT80b heating system.
