Opentherm gateway and script integration into Homeseer
Re: Opentherm gateway and script integration into Homeseer
Thanks Rutger. I'm still having the issue I can't control the temporary setting via Temperature Override. Changing the temp does trigger something (in the log I see "Device Control Device: CV 2nd Floor Temperature Override to Thermostat Control (18) by/from: CAPI Control Handler" but nothing happens, it seems the script is not running. As a work-around I have created an event which runs when the Temperature Override changes. Not that nice, but it works -with an additional Sub in the script - for now.

Re: Opentherm gateway and script integration into Homeseer
Hi,
I'm switching from Vera to Homeseer and before I start moving my 75+devices & plugins config to Homeseer I want to get most of the plugin stuff done.
I have been reading a few of the pages of this threat and I'm trying to understand how this works. In Vera I have a plugin for the OTG (http://code.mios.com/trac/mios_opentherm-gateway). In my case I'm connected over IP with the gateway.
But there does not seem to be a OTG plugin for Vera (correct?).
Can anyone explain how to get this up and running for a Homeseer Newbie? Thanks

Is this topic still active?
I have recently purchased an OTGW and am having trouble with these scripts.
@rutger Do you have an updated working script?
Thanks, Marty.

The last post before yours is from almost three years ago. Don't get your hopes too high ...mminehan wrote:Is this topic still active?
The good News is that Rutger is still quite active on this forum.
Re: Opentherm gateway and script integration into Homeseer
I have still a working script but I'm currently on a business trip in Manila for 2 weeks so Im not able to send the script right now.

That would be greatly appreciated.Rutger wrote:I have still a working script but I'm currently on a business trip in Manila for 2 weeks so Im not able to send the script right now.
Re: Opentherm gateway and script integration into Homeseer

Re: Opentherm gateway and script integration into Homeseer
I've modified the HS3 script for HS4 integration (see attachment).
This script works on an OpenTherm Gateway with firmware version 4.3 and OpenTherm Monitor running with remote access relay server enabled.
Also include the missing possibility in the HS3 script to send variables from another device (e.g. outside temperature) by an event.
Example event sending outside temperature:
- Event trigger on device (outside temperature device) value change
- Run a script
- Select BLB_OT_monitor.vb
- Sub or Func: Main
- Parameters: OT=$$DVR:xxx: (xxx is the device ref.ID)
Event to update OpenTherm devices:
- Event trigger automatic every minute
- Run a script
- Select BLB_OT_monitor.vb
- Sub or Func: Main
- Parameters: update
Installation:
- Copy hssi_BLB_OT_monitor.ini to the HomeSeer config folder
- Copy BLB_OT_monitor.vb to the HomeSeer scripts folder
- Change the configuration in hssi_BLB_OT_monitor.ini
