wires is not my biggest issue, i need to swipe as example http://www.eurolocks.nl/prod/index.html ... 2=494.html you can swipe here, but i dont want the swipe space at the door nob. It should be somewhere in my outside wall then.

If this one will not work well i will use wires.

I just installed and received mine :

I added two wires to the big 'open door' button on the keyfob
and connected it to a 1-wire relay

(I only wanted to open the door, I didn't want to control the door lock, although that would just require 2 more wires on the keyfob and 2 more relays)

Can you give me some more info about the 1-wire stuff used, i know alot, but i have not used 1-wire in my setup (yet)

I'm not aware of any dutch shops...

Alternatively, you can also order (free) samples of most 1-wire chips from maxim and build everything yourself, if you want...
Beware that all chips are smd, except the temperature sensors can be ordered as to92 package

Conrad sold DS1820's for a year ago or so, don't know if they still do.
Farnell has 1-Wire, but they don't like us hobbyists.
Hartman & Koning seems to sell (from what i've heared) 1-Wire. Never tried there myself.

For the people contemplating the same setup, my observations after a few days:

- I needed to add a (simple 12V) relay to the Powermax PGM output to interface to the Abus keyfob
- The mechanical part of the solution works a lot better than I expected. It automatically figured out how my lock works, and works fine every time it receives a command.
- The RF part gives me some trouble too, location of the keyfob seems to matter a lot and I even had to "reset" the keyfob a few times by taking out the battery before things started working again. This was while hooking up and testing, so maybe I confused the keyfob somehow.

I'll update this post when I've really used the system for a couple of weeks. So far I think I like the lock motor (it's really nice to open the door using the remote, using a key quickly feels very old-fashioned!) but might go for a wired solution.

I haven't had any trouble with either of the 2 keyfobs that I got.

One is connected to a relay in another room (about 10 meters away from the lock)

I live in a flat on the first floor....
If I press the button on the second keyfob, when I'm outside at ground floor, it still opens my door (20meters away, through a lot of concrete)

That's indeed strange.. it's extremely unreliable when I test it.

Although it appears to open the door every time I come from the outside, but when testing it, the lock frequently stops responding (the light of the keyfob shows it's transmitting fine) for minutes.

Maybe there's some kind of logic in there that it only allows a couple of commands sent in a certain timeframe? I can't find anything in the manual about it..

If you repeatedly send open/close commands, does the lock respond every time?

Btw.. it's also interesting to note that the messages from this keyfob are picked up by the RFXCom Visonic receiver, and look somewhat like Visonic messages..

do you keep the button on the keyfob pressed for > 1 second as is mentioned in the manual ?

I also implemented this 1 second delay between switching the 1-wire relay on-off
