Hallo Rene, thanks for the info.
Can you tell me something more about the condition of the dusk/dawn sensor, because I don't understand it right, I think.
If I look to your event I see no condition in it. It looks the same as mine now. Only my light is going on the hole day now.

B.R. Wim :)

I overviewed you condition.
Now I placed that condition in the event, but still my light is going on at day.
When I move the motion controller by the window, he gives still an reaction to put on the light.
See below the changed event.
Also my log file gives every 20 seconds now a message. See next post.

The additional condition should not be based on the motion sensor, this is the sensor triggering the event in the first place, but on the status of the dusk/dawn sensor (which would be k2, when k2 is your motion sensor). Did you have a good night of sleep?

I sleep very well last night. Thank you. But today I became some nerviousity with all that white light.
I think, I don't have a dusk/dawn sensor.

Renee, I changed the motion device back to night/day = 4.
Now the light stays out and the log-file is calm.
I very nervous for to night, what will happening with all that fireworks.

Every MS13 has a dusk/dawn sensor! Changing the MS13 back to setting 3 will result in the lights go out after 8 minutes because motion will only be detected when it is dark. You must add k2 as a conditional as I told you before, do not be stuborn;-)

The instruction to configure the dusk/dawn settings (or day/night):
Press the <unit/off> button once.
• The LED will flash briefly.
• Press the <house/on> button and hold it down.
• The green LED behind the PIR lens will light up.
• 3 seconds later the LED will display the current mode (the factory setting is 1).
• 1 flash when the motion detector is on during the day, light/dark sensor off.
• 2 flashes when the motion detector is off during the day, light/dark sensor off.
• 3 flashes when the motion detector is on during the day, light/dark sensor on.
• 4 flashes when the motion detector is off during the day, light/dark sensor on.
• Release the <house/on> button.
• Now press the <house/on> button the number of times that corresponds to the mode that you want
to set. On the last press hold down the button (e.g. for mode 3 press the <house/on> button 3 times
and hold the button down on the third press).
• After 3 seconds the LED will display the new setting and the LED will switch off.

Hello Renee,
I didn't remember the extra sensor at the motion control. So I misunderstood you several times.
I installed now that sensor on K2. I corrected also the night/day setting back to 3.

Thanks a lot for your persistence and time you give to mine problem.
Nice night to night and a good 2010.

Below in my eyes your solution from my problem.

There still a lot of logging rules created.
Is it possible to reduced that?

"Do not log commands from this device" is een property for the device. It's also there for events.

To add something to this discussion
if you assign a house code of K5 to your MS13 device then the Dusk/Dawn senser gets autmaticaly assigned the next code. In this case that will be K6.
