anywhereusb5 /1 this device makes a connection via lan from a remote connection to one windows computer, you plug the stick in the device, installs the software on the computer and voila it works.
see als the discussions about the belkin usb lan hub on this forum. lantronix also has a similar device which can be used. look on ebay oe markedplace(holland).

No, unfortunately this is not possible. This solution only works within a LAN (Intranet) not WLAN (Internet).

just on the remote location a anywhere usb network hub, that is an usb hub that talks via the ethernetcable.

the local computer can get a connection i tried it.
i came on the idea via a discussion about a belkin usb hub f5lo49
the belkin hub can attach network sorage devices and printers but no more sophisticated stuff like a camera .
you also have lantronix usb hub on the marked for remote usb devices.

anywhereusb 5.1 there you can put 5 usb devices in , which is attached throug the network .
it works.
the belkin usb hub doesnt recognize the stick, lantronix has also that kind of usb to network devices but doesnt work eeither.

i got a licence for 2 sticks. on the remote location i use a ghi spider to put the second stick in and pass the info to a digi serial port server and vice versa.
