Did you use the right order?
Switch first, then the thermostat? Using the L mode?
Did you reset the thermostat to the defaults before you started?

I think you should be a bit more clear in the steps you made so we can understand what and where it goes wrong.
Did you read Maartens blog for the crucial bits and pieces?
http://www.maartendamen.com/2011/05/hor ... hermostat/

Looking at the error it seems you did not keep the Thermostat in L mode while importing from the stick.
In L mode HS can find it, otherwise it goes in sleep mode for minutes.

Hello and thanks for the replay

I think I used the correct order first ASR than HRT
I used the L mode with the L flashing during the import into HS

What do you mean by "reset the thermostats to the defaults"

I've have read Maartendamen blog to the dot

Thanks for any help

I am using the Horstmann to control my floorheating pump (220v).THe switch is just a relay you can use for anything.
Scheduling via Homeseer events works perfect.
Just waiting for HS to get it really supported as a Thermostat.

Hello
I am new to domotics.
Since this toys are quite expensive I am planning to start with a aeon zwave 2 stick, a switch from fibaro and a thermostat from horstmann

I have a doubt: I see that the thermostat is sold either "standalone" or with a receiver module. do I need thi receiver module or can I just substitute my current traditional thermostat with the hrst?

Further question: if later I plan to introduce danfoss valves on radiators how do this play together with Te thermostat?

Ty in advance for your advice

Did anyone try the Horstmann HRT4-ZW with the Domotiga software?

The open-zwave supports the Hortsmann, but the thermostat functions aren't available yet in DomotiGa (it is on my todo list).

Does anyone know how to set the set point? What z-wave command does it need to get?

Currently I can read the temperature from the thermostat. It is reported in my software, Domotiga. However, I am not able to set the set point, yet.

DomotiGa can't do it yet, but you can see the temperature and i think you can do a basic on/off. I will investigate the setpoint option very soon, after i have finished the new OpenZWave wrapper.

Hi all, Any News on this?

I've got a HRT4 and would love to run domotiga. So I'd love to know when this will be working.

Anybody here with a Horstmann HRT4-ZW and using DomotiGa? I want to add support to DomotiGa, but i need information (what is detected and how it is shown in open-zwave & the wrapper) and somebody who can test the new code.
