Yes most of members on this forum facing this problem, have this on my Itron (actaris) also.
This is not a (fully) smart meter, but has a IR output i can read which also give a reso of 1 KWh.
With a resolution of 1 KWh its no fun

I think we should find our own smart meter and install it beside the kamstrup!

I am also interested, Kamstrup 382JxC, with P1.
Specially when directly interfaced with Homeseer
Now have P1 connected to Cisco. Plugwise product.
Plugwise plugin from René.

did you check the intended decimals settings?

I asked whether they comply to the EnergieNed standard (B101)
http://www.energiened.nl/_upload/bestel ... l%20P1.pdf
This is their response (Liander):
Elektriciteit
- ISKRA wisselmeter ME382-MT382
- Echelon wisselstroommeter 83331-1lMAD/83331-3lMAD
- ISKRA ME372-MT372
Gas
- Flonidan Uniflo gasmeter G10S-G16S
- Flonidan Uniflo gasmeter G4S-G6S
- Elster gasmeter BK G4A
- Landis en Gyr gasmeter E06140
Beschikbare P1-poort
http://www.liander.nl.
The standard has the following information regarding resolution (electricty):

- energiened.png (95.42 KiB) Viewed 14478 times
And, the standard has the following information regarding gas resolution:

- energiened_gas.png (51.73 KiB) Viewed 14478 times
I think I will be just fine with this type of resolution...

Quick update: the smart meter was installed today, the precision is just fine.
Connecting the P1 port was a piece of cake (I used the USB method), and I already have the data coming in to HouseAgent.
Here's a copy of the telegram received on the P1 port:

I'm interested as well, I have a smart meter with P1 port (RJ11) and wireless gas meter connected. My prefered solution would be Ethernet, i would not need local storage.

Count me in.
I have working hardware, (ethernet), just the code needs to be built (The packet parsing, not the acquisition).
Communication and timing has been programmed in plain old K+R C, works on a linux box.
grtz,

Verry much interrested.
I'm currently have a smart meter (electricity and gas) installed and it has a P1 port.
Currently i'm trying to connect it to an Arduino board. I can see data comming out the port, however it's not readable yet due to my lack of knowledge about serial communication with the Arduino.

I'm interested as well. What's the status?

I now have a working solution where the P1 port of the Smartmeter is connected to an Arduino with Ethernet shield. Some of the values are send to an Syslog server in my local network.
Now i need a way to visualise the data.

Hi ChrisPW,
mind sharing your arduino code and electrical setup here?
I use HighCharts to visualise my energy consumption. It even has a live chart function.

I'm currently reading my P1 port with a serial-USB cable (straight into a server running domotiga) but would be interested in a other solution. I would be even more interested in a jeenode jeenode opentherm gateway

But that's a whole different story.
