Thanks Sooty - that's now working for me too, and I like the decimal points column :-)

Pieter..Just on the question I posted above is there any reason we can't post text strings or indeed rudimentary html as a device value ? I looked over a few sites on the map and I think that a few people are already doing this, and I suspect the mapping of device value to a textual state just posts a text value into the XML anayway. If so Sooty do you think we could have an option to copy the displayed HSdevicestring as another device type in the script ?

Cheers Kevin

(Sooty - heading over your way now coincidently)

Probably missed you now Kevin, but you are welcome to call in if you are in the area. The GPS coordinates on domoticaworld are not my exact location by the way.

It shouldn't be a problem adding devicestring if the service can support it. One of the problems I may have to contend with is the many different formats that various plug-ins use in the devicestring.

Perhaps if you have some specific requirements, we can discuss it off-forum being as we are not a million miles apart geographically.

I have uploaded v 0.0.0.14 of the Homeseer Xml2Bwired utility. See post #1 for the download links.

This version fixes an issue where the configuration pages would not work with some 3rd party utilities that allow changing of the standard Homeseer menu structure.

Thanks to Zebrafilm for pointing this out in the 1st instance and of course testing the fix.

Hi,

Maybe I look wrong, but I can not yet find the answer. I have one question, is it possible to use a virtual device what have a string value? I can select "user type" but then I can only give 4 values but this is an analogue value that I want to use.

Grtz,

Hi,

But how can i use the RFXCOM for it?
I import a value from a cvs file (from my davis weather station) so ik can't import it by a virtual device in RFXCOM.

Regards,

Pieter,

It's mayby a nice option to insert a table to display the default value as kWh from the users
So you can see a list of what the average consumption is without scrolling over Googlemaps of the users that send this info to you.

Grtz,
