Question: If you turn the radiator knob. Will the radiator valve immediately report that to the zwave base station ?

Danfoss will report that direct.
You have to push the control button
There is no need for turning off

The Danfoss only report changes from sun to moon symbol or the other way (when the control button is pushed.). It will not report changes done with the knob.

The thermostat has a mechanical part with the knob, and a Z-wave part attached that control the sun/moon symbols.

To put it straight.
If i change the knob, and then push the control button on the DANFOSS, the signal is sent ?
Is this right ?

That is correct but there is no need to turn the knob, it sends it's status after pushing the day / night button.

It is 2 different systems.

The knob works as a normal thermostat, and the control button takes it down around 3 degrees from where the knob is set.

So nothing will report how the knob is set.

I only have one Danfoss. :-) My plans need more, than i can do with the Danfoss.

I have 4 and will extend that to 10 in the next weeks after replacement of some knobs.
Danfoss works great.

I have 5 working within vera , but 1 system is not running proberly.
So i still most found some spare time to chech it out.

Last day i was testing with to controll those from a event from vera and it seems like it works ( not fully tested)

==> code "luup.call_action("urn:upnp-org:serviceId:SwitchPower1","SetTarget",{ newTargetValue="1" },26)"

where 1 is listed ( on ) and 0 would be ( off )
where 26 is listed to the current device nr.

Sorry to bother you again, but this is a newbie question.

By pushing the control button, you can trigger an event on the vera box?
Is this right ?

I haven't tried it, but I think you can set a scene in Vera that trigger an event, when the sun/moon change state. That will happen when you push the button. But it will also happen when it change by a timer.

@Peter,
That's a good idea also for Homeseer.
example.
Turning number 1 on can also turn number 2 on.
other option turning bathroom on will trigger a delayed event that will turn of after 1 hour.

Can anybody send me a detailed manual for the DANFOSS device ?
I want to start up the heating (via a zwave thermostat) when someone pushes the control button.

This is correct, by pushing the button it's status changes and it can be triggert in Vera, now it can execute a scene which changes the other ones in your home.

Here you can find the most complete manual:
Unfortunately, I also seem to have Comap thermostats with a smaller nut than the M30 (...) For those with the same issue: it seems there is an adapter:

Had to wait quite some time but received them yesterday. They fit [:)] Saves a lot of work.
