What motion sensors?

Post by Noel »

Chak,

Thank you for looking at it.
I've send the unit (including the two KAKU's) to Bert.

As soon as I have more info I will report back.

Got the RFXcom receiver back today. They did something to it (I have no clue what), but all is working fine now.

Thank you all for the help.

What motion sensors?

Post by Alexander »

I have a couple of MS13E's. Is the AWST-6000 better in the motion detection (more accurate) ? Also the MS13E will only check the motion every 10 seconds if motion has been detected. The lights will not go allways on when i enter the detection zone. But that isn't properly an MS13E problem because i've to wait another 10 seconds and than the lights go on.
The off command is at minimum 1 minute for the MS13E. I really want this lower. Does the AWST-6000 send an off command earlier?

I typed AWST-6000 in Google, which replied with 273 hits; among them this one: http://www.vego.nl/klikaanklikuit/29/awst_6000.htm

Here you can read:
- instelbare uitschakeltijd 5 seconden, 1 minuut, 5 minuten of 10 minuten

Yes, the PIC on the MS13E disables the motion sensor input for ten seconds after it sends X10 RF.
Does anyone know why? Is it just in case false positives jam up 433MHz?

I've been doing some testing with the AWST-6000 and sofar I'm not impressed. I want to use this device as a trigger for some automatic lights, but it doesn't seem to be sensitive enough. I'll give it some more go's.
