Sonos vs. Logitech - What do you think

Post by Snelvuur »

i think you can also use the classic as a ir receiver, or use the remote to do other things.. never used it though. Ofcourse the template for hstouch also looks very slick. I think the author or somebody else is working on a normal hstouch interface version, which should be possible because of the open source.

If you have a pronto (tsu9600) you can also get the module (a few bucks) which has support for most stuff and is pretty good too.. however its still 1 remote (you dont want to walk around with the remote in your pocket.. ) thats also a thing for me, how can one change music quickly if not near a pc (without having to leave all kinds of remotes again hehe) but thats luxery problem i think.

I strongly agree! IPeng is a must have and the best way of controlling your squeezedevices for functionality beyond the normal remote.

I posted a script for displaying messages on squeezedevices using homeseer. U can (ab)use this script to learn how to control squeezedevices from homeseer (it's very easy using the CLI).

All CLI commands are documented (in the help pages from your squeezecenter webinterface and the slimdevices/logitech page).
