Hi All,
Is it possible to send the variable values within emails or HTTP POST ?
Background: i have a created a new variable for myself.
It is currently used for counting S0 pulses from a KWh meter into the digital inputs of the HCB.
So each time a S0 pulse arrives (which is 1 watt), i add a value of 1 into this variable.
At midnight i reset the value to zero, and send an email to myself as test.
However, i would like to know the end value of each day. Can this be included in emails ?
With the API function, can i also send a HTTP POST but with the value of the variable at that time ?
Thanks for any help !
ron
HCB, emails/HTTP-post and variable values
Re: HCB, emails/HTTP-post and variable values
Only fixed Email messages can be send ....
May be with HTTP Post you can transmit the variable value ......give it a try

Re: HCB, emails/HTTP-post and variable values
this part of the HCB is also unknown to me and moreover it is undocumented, so the only thing there is is to try.
Keep in mind that the HCB provides little data manipulation capabilities and if you fix this there are surely others will hinder register
HCB is not designed for it and 15 years ago, energy management not so hot.
Consider a microprocessor (eg. Arduino or raspberry) and possibilities of storage, processing, networking are then possible.

Re: HCB, emails/HTTP-post and variable values
Hi Henk,
Just a quick question.
I do have a Raspberry PI, and am looking into how to get the working as a replacement of the HCB as you suggest. However, i don't want to remove/replace all the modules in the house, and also don't want to buy new interfaces.... What do you think, can i use the HCB as a interface between the Raspberry and the X10/A10 modules ?
That would be interesting. I guess it could maybe work in API level ?
Grtz,

Re: HCB, emails/HTTP-post and variable values
if you use the Rasp, better to kickout the HCB and do it direct. you can put for example Domotiga on the rasp which can control X10
